  • Heirs Of Promise

    $15.99

What is the relationship between the Church and Israel? And how does that influence our understanding of the Old Testament?

In Heirs of Promise, P. Chase Sears answers these questions by taking a biblical-theological approach to the book of Romans. He argues that Paul views the Church as the new Israel-not a replacement of Israel, but rather the continuation of Israel reconstituted in Christ. As the Son of God, Jesus is the true Israel, through whom all of God’s purposes for Israel and creation are realized. Through faith in Christ, the Church becomes God’s new covenant people and heirs of all his saving promises.

Sears examines how people united to Jesus find their identity in him. He explains how Old Testament promises made to Israel are being fulfilled in the Church. And he shows how Paul applies descriptions of Israel to all those who believe the gospel. These themes from Romans demonstrate that Paul considers the Church to be the new Israel, and thus Heirs of Promise.

  • Radical Apprentices : Risky And Rewarding Decipleship Rediscovered Through

    $15.99

How can believers today express their commitment to Jesus in a way that is relevant and alluring? Ron Mahler reintroduces the early Church, whose people were so radical in every facet of their faith and ministry, as the ultimate example for Christians to emulate. The trail-blazing testimony of our pioneering Christian ancestors challenges us to imagine a time when faith and fellowship were not just about believing in certain doctrines and doing “Christian” things, but also about living like Jesus lived.

  • Gods Blueprint : What Does The Old Testament Really Say

    $15.99

The journey begins and I am so excited at what God will show us through His Word. First, some ground-rules. This is not an exhaustive commentary on the Hebrew Scriptures, but rather a meandering and we won’t be visiting the popular beauty spots featured in the glossy travel brochures. Instead, we will be lifting up stones and poking around in the undergrowth. We will also look upwards and outwards at the bigger picture and, following the unique quirks of the Hebrew mind, we will be making connections, sometimes in unusual places, often crossing over boundaries erected by theologians to keep us nice and ordered. Not so much the highways, as the byways; not so much the purple prose as the small print. As I have stressed many times in recent books, there are two mindsets that dominate the thinking of modern man, Christians included. These are the Greek mindset, perhaps best expressed in the phrase, Know thyself! and the Hebraic mindset, which focuses on knowing God. Now here’s the problem in a nutshell. The Bible was written using the Hebraic mindset, but, these days tends to be understood using the Greek mindset. This means that we tend to see the Bible predominantly as a source for our thoughts and actions. There is nothing wrong with that, but what is often neglected is God Himself. There’s no better way of getting to know the One we are going to spend eternity with, than by reading His Book. There’s so much we can learn about Him from the Hebrew Scriptures, from the developing story of His dealings with His people. I would go as far as to say that these Scriptures, the Old Testament, are there to provide us with a blueprint, a design plan, of God’s heart. God’s blueprint. So that has been my aim with this book. In the first part there is a complete sweep of the Hebrew Scriptures, from Genesis to Malachi. I have gone, as far as I can, for broad chronological accuracy rather than neat divisions. So Job comes between Genesis and Exodus and the two books of Chronicles straddle the Psalms. Also, where possible I have placed the prophets as close as I could to the narrative they refer to, so we can have historical context. It may all seem a bit of a mess, but I think that the Scriptures will speak to you in new ways. In the second part, I strip out all of the themes uncovered so far and displayed logically (how Greek is that!), so that we can start to see some important principles on how God deals with His people. There may be some surprises here for you, ther

  • Supernatural : What The Bible Teaches About The Unseen World And Why It Mat

    $17.99

Dr. Michael S. Heiser, a Scholar-in-Residence at Faithlife Corporation, presents fifteen years of research on what the Bible really says about the unseen world of the supernatural unfiltered by tradition or by theological presuppositions. People shouldn’t be protected from the Bible, Dr. Michael S. Heiser says, but theological systems often do just that, by explaining away difficult or troublesome passages of Scripture because their literal meaning doesn’t fit into our tidy systems.

Who were the sons of God ? Who were the Nephilim? Where do angels fit into the supernatural hierarchy? Why did God find it necessary to have the Israelites destroy the populations of entire cities man, woman, and child? What relation does Jesus bear to the rest of the supernatural world? Dr. Michael S. Heiser tackles these questions and many more in his books Supernatural and The Unseen Realm.

  • Prophet Of Hope

    $15.99

“Zechariah, Haggai, and Malachi complete the Old Testament canon-their faces turned toward the sunrise but conscious that darkness still brooded deep over their contemporaries. They remind one of the crisp breeze that awakes a little before the dawn, and announces its advent, to hush itself into silence and expectancy till the sun appears.”
    -F. B. Meyer

As the people of Israel returned from exile in Babylon, they found their nation, including their temple, in ruins. Out of this rubble came the prophet Zechariah with a message of hope, proclaiming that their God had not forsaken them. He was still at work and planned to live again with His people in Jerusalem. He would save them from their enemies and cleanse them from sin.

Zechariah’s prophecy of the coming Messiah would later serve the apostles as an explanation for the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus, and they would quote the prophet often in their gospels.

Legendary Bible scholar F. B. Meyer takes the reader through the book of Zechariah, providing background, context, and commentary that bring clarity and understanding to this important and God-inspired prophet of hope.

Without denying the good created purpose of wealth, both testaments warn us about the idolatry that loving our own wealth or coveting another’s can generate. Christians must be aware of and safeguard against the dangers that abusing material wealth can produce. Blomberg explains the biblical teaching that when we give away generous and sacrificial amounts to those in need, we participate in God’s original good design for abundance and demonstrate the active love of Christ. As part of the Biblical Theology for Life Series, this book provides pastors, teachers, and lay learners with first-rate biblical study while at the same time addressing the practical concerns of contemporary ministry. Christians in an Age of Wealth encourages and challenges readers to embrace a fully biblical perspective on wealth.

  • Moses Servant Of God

    $16.99

From renowned Bible scholar F. B. Meyer comes this fascinating, all-encompassing profile of one the most important figures in Scripture. Meyer digs deeply into both Scripture and the historical record to reveal lessons and personal applications from this complex man of faith.

Far from the imposing man of granite sculpted by Michelangelo, Moses was full of flaws and deficiencies that rendered him powerless, save for the all-sufficient grace of a mighty God. Yet, despite many frustrations and human frailties, Moses did not back down or quit but instead grew closer to the heart of God, learning the importance of obedience, patience, courage, faith, and prayer. As a result, God entrusted His servant with greater responsibility.

Woven throughout this character study are wonderful lessons and realities that can help all believers become better able to serve God and others.

    Additional Info
It’s the hot topic of the moment. Christians, the church and the Bible seem to be out of step with modern attitudes towards homosexuality. And there is growing hostility towards those who hold a different view. So is God homophobic? And what do we say, and how do we relate to to both Christians and non Christians who experience same-sex attraction.

In this short, simple book, Sam Allberry wants to help confused Christians understand what God has said about these questions in the scriptures, and offers a positive and liberating way forward through the debate.

    Further Reading

    Additional Info
Most of what the Bible has to say about marriage does not come flagged up under a heading of “marriage”. It’s not just the famous “marriage passages” that shape a gospel-centred marriage, but the whole Bible-story of God’s good creation, humanity’s wicked rebellion and God’s gracious redemption.

To understand why marriages struggle-as they all do-we need to understand the nature of our sin. To make marriages work, we need to understand how to apply the truth about God and His salvation.

This study guide on Christian marriage focuses on how the Gospel shapes the practical realities of everyday life. Author Tim Chester lifts the lid on many of the common pressure points that modern couples face, and shows how a proper understanding of the Gospel can shape a response.

    Additional Info
Numerous books set out to help Christian parents in the challenging mission of raising their children well-so what’s different about this one? Well, the answer’s in the title! It’s not about how the gospel fits into Christian family life, but how family life should fit into the gospel-God’s greatest purpose for this universe, achieved in Christ.

Many books aim to raise up competent, balanced parents and well-trained, well-rounded children. But Tim Chester and Ed Moll focus on families growing God-knowing, Christ-confessing, grace-receiving, servant-hearted, mission-minded believers-adults and children together.

    Christian families should be about…
    – not just making good citizens but also church planters, missionaries, reformers, servants and evangelists
    – not just learning about God but also showing Him to others;
    – not just controlling behaviour but also changing the heart;
    – not just parents and children, but being an integral part of the wider church family.

In twelve concise chapters, Gospel-Centered Family takes us through the major Bible principles for family life, challenging us to give up our ‘respectable’ middle-class idols, and to become the distinctively different people that God, through His gospel, calls us to be.

  • Kingdom Of Power

    $24.99

Simple. Practical. Powerful. That’s the gospel of the kingdom! Wherever God’s kingdom rules on earth, it is visibly demonstrated.

The kingdom of God is His will exercised on earth as it is in heaven. Each time Jesus announced the good news of the kingdom, sin, sickness, demons, poverty, and death could not remain. Likewise, Jesus did not authorize the church to preach a gospel of mere words. He empowered us to proclaim the good news with supernatural evidence of miracles, healings, and deliverances. We are carriers of the kingdom, which is revealed in and through us by the Holy Spirit.

The kingdom is a reality today-not just in the future-and it may be applied to each circumstance we encounter in life. Through the studies in The Kingdom of Power (Spirit-Led Bible Study), you will learn how to…

    *Enter the kingdom of God
*Demonstrate God’s existence through tangible evidence
    *Manifest healings and deliverances
*Expand the kingdom in your God-given “territory”
*Drive out the kingdom of darkness
    *Overcome the “impossible”
*Rule on earth as God’s king and priest

Jesus said, “The kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:21). The only thing you need to do is to demonstrate it here and now!

This book is designed as a stand-alone Bible study. It may be completed independently by individual students or be used in a group setting, such as a Bible study, a Sunday school class, a course on the foundations of the Christian faith, or a prayer group.
